在職場溝通裡，時間感精不精準，往往會影響別人對你的印象。
很多人想表達「一⋯⋯就⋯⋯」時，第一個想到的都是 as soon as。這當然沒錯，但實際上，英文裡還有很多不同的說法，而它們之間的語氣其實差很多。
有些強調效率，有些帶有戲劇感，有些則更適合正式書面語。
今天就一起來看看這幾個常見又實用的表達方式。

萬用首選：as soon as
這是最安全、也最萬用的選擇。它的特色是語氣中性、不帶情緒，純粹描述「前一件事完成後，下一件事就發生」。
不管是商務郵件、會議還是日常對話，都很好用。
The contract will be sent to you as soon as our legal team finishes the review.
（法務團隊一完成審核，合約就會寄給你。）
As soon as the budget is approved, we can start hiring.
（預算一核准，我們就可以開始招募了。）
緊接著行動：directly
這個用法在英式英語裡特別常見。它強調的是「前一件事一結束，下一件事立刻接上」，幾乎沒有空檔。
很適合描述工作流程或行程安排。
He left for the factory directly he got off the phone with the supplier.
（他一掛掉供應商的電話，馬上就出發去工廠了。）
She forwarded the report to the director directly she spotted the discrepancy.
（她一發現數字有問題，就立刻把報告轉給了主管。）
強調效率與立即反應：immediately
immediately 比 as soon as 更有「立刻處理」的感覺。
它帶有強烈的執行力與效率感，常出現在重視反應速度的情境裡。
The IT team was notified immediately the system went offline.
（系統一斷線，IT 團隊就立刻收到通知了。）
Please escalate the issue immediately you receive a complaint from the client.
（你一收到客戶投訴，請立刻往上呈報。）
帶有轉折感的瞬間：the moment
當你想描述「就在那一刻」時，the moment 會特別有畫面感。
它常用來強調某個事件發生後，整個氣氛或局勢瞬間改變。
Investor confidence dropped the moment the CEO announced his resignation.
（執行長一宣布辭職，投資人的信心就立刻下滑了。）
The moment the two parties reached an agreement, the atmosphere in the room completely changed.
（雙方一達成共識，現場氣氛立刻改變了。）
想要更口語、更輕鬆的版本，把 the moment 換成 the minute，跟熟識的同事說話時很自然：
Text me the minute you land — I’ll have the car ready.
（你一下飛機就傳訊息給我，我把車準備好等你。）
The minute the new policy was announced, everyone started asking questions.
（新政策一公布，大家馬上就開始提問了。）
the moment、the minute本身就已經具有連接詞功能，因此後面不需要再加 when。像是 the moment when he arrived 這種說法，在正式文法上其實是多餘的。
即時反應：the instant
如果你想表達「反應速度快到幾乎是本能」，the instant 會比前面幾個更強烈。
它很適合描述系統反應、警報、自動觸發，或帶有衝擊感的事件。
The alarm went off the instant an unauthorized device was connected to the network.
（未授權裝置一連上網路，警報就立刻響了。）
The instant she walked into the room, everyone knew something had gone wrong.
（她一走進房間，所有人立刻知道出事了。）
和 the moment、the minute 一樣，the instant 本身就已經具有連接詞功能，因此後面不需要再加 when。
正式書面感：no sooner ~ than
這個句型比較正式，也比較進階。
它的特色是帶有一種「事情發生得非常快、甚至超出預期」的語感。
另外要注意：句首要使用倒裝。
No sooner had the new product hit the market than competitors began copying the design.
（新產品一上市，競爭對手就開始仿製設計了。）
We had no sooner resolved one issue than another one surfaced.
（我們一解決一個問題，另一個問題又冒出來了。）
最自然直覺：right after
這個說法最簡單、也最生活化。它不特別強調「速度」，而是單純表示事情發生的順序很接近。
在日常對話裡非常常見。
Let’s schedule a debrief right after the product launch event.
（產品發表會結束後，我們馬上來開一個覆盤會吧。）
Right after the training session, several employees signed up for the advanced course.
（培訓課一結束，就有好幾個員工報名了進階班。）
