1. Please have more conversations with him/her instead of using the textbook.
「請多和他/她進行對話，而不是只使用教科書。」

：have conversations 的意思是進行對話。
加上 more 就能表達「更多」的意思。
此外，instead of~ 是表示「而不是～」的片語。

2. Please let him talk a lot without the textbooks.
「請讓他多說話，而不依賴教材。」

：這個翻譯接近直譯，但包含不使用教材，讓小朋友多說話的意思。
let ＋人＋動詞表示「讓人做～」。
