「相鄰」可以用 next to each other 或 beside each other。

Since my child is small, I want to sit as close as possible, next to each other if possible.
（因為我的小孩還小，所以我想我們盡可能靠近，最好是坐在隔壁。）
※「小」可以用 little 表達，但是 little 和 small 不同， little 則更帶有「親暱」或「可愛」的語感。
