要用英文說「內幕」時，可以用
「backstory」或「inside story」表達。

backstory
意思是「背景故事；幕後故事」。

inside story
意思是「內幕消息」或「真實情況」。

例如
「There seems to be some backstory or inside story about why the tenant fees for the shopping street are so cheap, like it being old and such.」
（意思是：商圈的租金很便宜，這背後似乎有一些幕後故事或內幕，例如因為很舊之類的。）
