「當我要去超市時，下起了短暫性暴雨，但當我回到家時，雨已經停了。」
When I was going to the supermarket, the sudden downpour came here.
But it let up by the time i got home.

☆downpour = 傾盆大雨/ sudden downpour=突如其來的暴雨
let up =（雨等）停止（ let-let-let）
get home = 到家/ get 場所 = 到達某個地方

ex. The rain never let up all night.
雨下了一整晚都沒有停。
