1. gentleman/lady
"gentleman"是「先生（對男士的禮貌稱呼）」，"lady"是「女士」的稱呼名，是一種禮貌的說法。

2. older man/woman
"old"就是「老」的意思，有表達「年長的」意思，透過使用比較級形式的"older"「(比自己或其他人)年長)的」，與"old"相比起來會比較柔和的感覺。無論如何，視情況而定"old"還是"older"聽起來都是比較沒有禮貌的感覺，"man"，"woman"使用起來相對安全一點。
