You don't look well. 的 well 是形容詞「有朝氣，身體狀況好」。要表達「看不出你狀態有很好」，指的就是「看起來病了→臉色不好」。

pale 是「蒼白的，没血氣」的意思。You look pale. 表示臉色蒼白，身體不太好。

You are green around the gills. 是「臉色不好」的慣用表達方式。 gill 指的是「魚鰓」，直接翻譯就是「鰓周圍的區域是綠色的。」。魚鰓通常是紅色的，但事實上它們是綠色的，這意味著顏色與平常不同→臉色不好。除了green 還可以使用 pale 或 white 。
