I have never heard that
可以用「I have never heard that（没聽說過＝第一次聽說）」來表達。「that」的後面也可以加上「before（在之前）」。

要表達出「這是我第一次聽說那件事」的感覺，雖然也可以說「It's the first time I heard that. （第一次聽說）」但是筆者住在英國，印象中比較常聽到周圍的人的說「I have never heard that」。

例句
Thank you for telling me. I have never heard that.

I didn't know that
即使說「I didn't know that（我不知道）」也可以傳達出「至今為止還不知道（＝第一次知道、聽到）」的感覺。
