I need a marker that won't smudge when it gets wet. Can you pass me an oil-based marker, please? Also, I need a water-based marker for the other part of the project.

油性馬克筆的顏色較深，不容易暈開，對水和摩擦有很強的抵抗力，因此很適合用在戶外或是光滑的表面（像是玻璃、塑膠、金屬等）。另一方面，水性馬克筆的顏色比較淡，最適合用在紙張或布料等有吸收性的材質上，而且有很多產品對小孩來說也很安全。不過，要注意的是，水性馬克筆對水比較敏感，顏色容易掉。

In English, a solvent-based marker is often referred to as a permanent marker, and an aqueous marker is commonly known as a water-based marker.
在英文中，油性馬克筆通常被稱為「permanent marker（永久性馬克筆）」，而水性馬克筆則一般被稱為「water-based marker（水性馬克筆）」。

Permanent Marker是寫下去不會消失的強力馬克筆，常用於標記標籤、包裝，或是需要永久記錄的場合。相對地，Non-Permanent Marker則用於暫時性的標記，或是像白板這種可以擦掉的表面。

Solvent-based marker的特色是顏色鮮明且乾得快，對外部環境有很強的耐受性，但有明顯的化學氣味。Aqueous marker則是以水為基底，可以稀釋，更加安全且環保，但在紙上容易擴散，且遇水容易掉色。
