I woke up at two in the morning.
泛指某個時段時,用 in the morning。
I usually drink a cup of tea in the morning.
We are meeting on Friday morning.
I have a dentist appointment tomorrow morning.
We usually take a short break around mid-morning.
noon 指的是中午十二點整,常搭配 at、around、by 或 before 使用:
Lunch is served at noon.
We will meet around noon in front of the station.
Please send the report by noon tomorrow.
由於 12 a.m.
I have a meeting this afternoon.
The museum is quiet on weekday afternoons.
The light is beautiful in the late afternoon.
問候語大致也是如此:上午說 Good morning,午後說 Good afternoon,到了傍晚則改說 Good evening。
I’m not a morning person, so I don’t answer emails before nine.
first thing in the morning:一早第一件事
I’ll call the client first thing in the morning.
at the crack of dawn:天剛亮時
We got up at the crack of dawn to see the sunrise.
I usually hit an afternoon slump around three o’clock.
