在英文會話中也會出現和金錢有關的話題，那你知道「借款」的英文要怎麼說嗎？
其實有很多單字都可以表示「借款」，而它們的用法都有一點點的差別。
所以在這次的文章中，我想介紹用英文表達「借款」的方式。另外也會附上和借錢相關的英文，請參考一下吧！
「借款」的英文
在這裡我會介紹以下五種表示「借款」的英文。

接下來就一個一個來看看吧。
Debt
「debt」是表示「借款」最普遍的一個單字。
請注意「b」是不發音的。它的用法有很多種，常見的如下:

借錢
get into debt
另外也有「indebted（有負債的）」這個形容詞、be indebted to 人 for 金額=向某人借了錢的狀態。
順帶一提，「debt」的反義詞是「asset（資産）」，這個也一起記住吧。
I’m currently in debt because of the car accident I caused.
因為一場由我引起的交通事故，我目前處於有借款的狀態。
I got into debt to buy a house.
為了買房子，我借款了。
I am indebted to my parents for ¥100,000.
我向父母借了10萬日圓。
Owe
「owe」是動詞，「借錢」的意思。
借錢（金額）

向人借了錢（金額）
owe 人 金額＝owe 金額 to 人
除了錢之外，它也可以指在得到好處或幫忙時，「欠了什麼」的意思。像是「I owe you.（我欠你一筆(恩情之類的)）」這個句子也很常用，一起記住吧。
I owe ¥2,000 to Mark for the movie tickets we bought yesterday.
昨天的電影票，我欠馬克2000元。
I owed my parents a lot of money, and eventually, I got kicked out of the house.
我向父母借了太多錢，最後被趕出家門了。
Borrow money
如同字面上的「borrow money」是「borrow（借）」和「money（金錢）」的組合，表示「借錢」這個行動。
因為它非常簡單好用，如果想不到「debt」或「owe」時就可以用它。借錢時的「borrow」，基本上是用以下的形式。

I decided to borrow money from my parents to cover my expenses.
為了支付我所花的錢，我決定向父母借錢。

Loan
「loan」是「貸款」的意思，一般指向金融機構借的錢。基本上除了借入的金額之外還需要付另外的手續費等追加的金額。

I took out a loan from the bank to buy a new car.
為了買新車，我向銀行貸款了。
I’m planning to apply for a loan to start my own business.

Obligation
「obligation」不是指借款，而是指「義務」。
而另外還有「general obligation bond（GO bond）」這個詞語，它是指「一般責任債券」。
也有這種說法:主詞 have an obligation to pay off one’s debt「主詞有支付借款的義務」。
You have an obligation to pay off your debt.
你有義務要還清你的借款。
Municipalities issue general obligation bonds to fund public projects.
地方自治體發行一般責任債券，以籌措公共事業的資金。

還錢
「還錢」的英文是「debt payment」，是很簡單的片語。
如果是「返還借款」，動詞的形式的話，一般會用pay back one’s debt、repay one’s debt。
另外，pay off one’s debt「還清借款」也是常用的表現，請記起來吧。
After receiving a loan from my friend, I decided to pay back my debt as soon as I could.
從朋友那裡借到錢後，我決定要趕快還錢。
I finally paid off all my debt last month.
我終於在上個月還清了所有錢。
堆積債務
「堆積債務」是「run up」。

I ran up debt by using credit cards without thinking.
我因為沒多想就亂刷卡導致卡債越來越多了。
Your debt can run up much more quickly if you don’t budget carefully.
如果你沒有好好計畫你的預算，債務堆積的速度可能會更快。
利息
「利息」的英文是「interest」。
說到「interest」，大家的印象可能是「be interested in 〜（對〜有興趣）」或「interesting（有趣的）」。雖然拼法一樣，但意思完全不同，請注意不要搞混了。
In the case of 10 installments, the interest is 3%.
分10次付款的話，利息是3％。
The company is famous for charging high interest rates.
這家公司以收取利息而出名。
分期付款
「分期付款」的英文是「installment payment」。
「分期付款」的動詞是「pay in installments」或「pay by installment」。
We offer an installment payment plan.
我們提供了分期付款的方案。
I couldn’t afford to pay for the new laptop all at once, so I decided to pay for it in installments over six months.
因為沒辦法一次付清，所以我決定分六期付我的新筆電。
討債
「討債借款」的英文是「collect debts」，是很簡單的說法。
順帶一提，討債的人英文是「debt collector」，一併記住吧。
We hired some people to collect debts from clients that had overdue invoices.
我們雇了一些人來收回尚有未付清帳單的客戶的借款。
I used to be a debt collector. It was mentally hard for me.
我以前當過去討債的人。當時精神上的壓力很大。
高利貸
「高利貸」的英文是「loan shark」。「shark」是名詞，「鯊魚」。鯊魚貸款這個詞聽了就覺得有點可怕對吧。
I owed money to a lot of people and ended up borrowing from a loan shark.
我向太多人借了錢，最終甚至還向高利貸借錢了
I watched a documentary about a loan shark that was involved in illegal high-interest lending.
我看了一部有關一名涉及發放非法高利貸的人的紀錄片。
