大家想用英文表示「業務」時，會用什麼單字呢？

應該很多人馬上想到的都會是“sales”吧。

其實除了這個之外還有很多表示「業務」的英文單字喔！

另外，還有跑業務、銷售人員、企業銷售等等的表現。

「業務」的英文

英文中用來表示「業務」的單字如下:

・sales
・operation

那麼就一個一來看看它們的用法和意思吧!

business

business：工作、職業、業務、事業

這個單字有很多種解釋。

根據使用的場合，意思就會不一樣。

像「為了賺錢，購買或出售物品，提供商品或服務等。」這樣的情況時就可以使用。

Starting your own business is no easy task.
(要自己創業不是一件簡單的事情。）

sales

sales：販賣

這裡的sales是形容詞，「販賣的」。是當某人販售某物時可以用的單字。

對於從事銷售活動的人，我們會說是「salesman」對吧。這時就可以使用它。

(他從上司那邊學了如何跑業務。)

She is very knowledgeable about insurance sales because she sells insurance abroad.
(關於保險業務，她的知識很豐富。因為她從事海外保險的業務。）

(推銷新商品的活動是很困難的。）

operation

operation：動作、營運、經營、業務

除了busines和sales以外，operation也很常用。Operation是「何使某物移動」「進行作業」的意思。

當想要表達有關店鋪的業務或以何種風格運作時，很常使用到這個單字。

When asked about hours of operation, the owner said, “The store is open until 10 p.m.”
(當問到營業時間時，店長回「這間店營業到晚上10點。」。)

In winter, the hours of operation are shorter than usual.
