「（良い）スタートを切る 」は【get off to a (good) start】です。
また【be off to a good start】という"良いスタートを切った後の状態"を意味する表現もあります。
be＋形容詞は「状態」を意味し、get/become＋形容詞は「～になる動作」という意味になります。
