「蓋」は様々なものに使われていますが、どのものの蓋も基本的には cap と言います。例えば「ペットボトルの蓋」でしたら「bottle cap」と言います。
英語では「ペットボトル」のことを「petbottele」とは言いませんので注意しましょう。

例文：
Don’t throw away the bottle caps in the rubbish bin, just put them into this box.

「ペットボトル」にはそのほかにも、「plastic bottle cap」という言い方があります。
