自己紹介

自分は今大学生です。
高校生の頃に自分の研究論文の内容を英語で書いたり、英語でのディベートをしたりしていました。

現在は海外の人と交流する場があり、そこで英語で話をしたりしています。

2. repeat over and over again
over and over again は「繰り返し」を意味するフレーズでよく使われる表現です。

えんえんと繰り返される広告に飽きてしまった。
be fed up with は「～にうんざりする」という意味で、意訳して「飽きてしまった」を表現しています。
また ads は advertising の略で「広告」を指します。

ひっそりと端に座っていた を英語で教えて!

1. was sitting quietly in the corner
sitting quietly は「静かに座っている」という直接的な表現で、穏やかで目立たない態度を示します。
in the corner は「隅に」という具体的な場所を示す表現です。

She was sitting quietly in the corner at the party.
彼女はパーティーでひっそりと端に座っていた。
at a party は「パーティで」

2. was sitting quietly on the sidelines
文の形は前述と同じです。
on the sidelines は「端に」「脇に」という意味で、少し比喩的に「中心から外れた場所」を表現します。

一部に恐怖シーンが含まれてる を英語で教えて!

1. it contains some scary scenes
「この映画は全年齢対象だが、一部に恐怖シーンが含まれてる」
contain は「含む」
scary はカジュアルで親しみやすい言葉で「怖い」「恐怖の」という意味があります。

This movie is suitable for all ages, but it contains some scary scenes.
この映画は全年齢対象だが、一部に恐怖シーンが含まれてる。
suitable for all ages は「全年齢対象」

2. there are a few frightening scenes
「この映画は全年齢対象だが、一部に恐怖シーンが含まれてる」
frightening は「恐怖を感じさせる」という意味でややフォーマルな表現です。

This film is appropriate for all age groups, but there are a few frightening scenes.
この映画は全年齢対象だが、一部に恐怖シーンが含まれてる。
appropriate for all age groups は「全年齢対象」

他人を困らせるようなことを言う を英語で教えて!

1. says things to upset others
「あの人はわざと他人を困らせるようなことを言う」
upset は「～を困らせる」という意味で、to でつながって意味をなしています。

That person says things on purpose to upset others.
あの人はわざと他人を困らせるようなことを言う。
on purpose は「わざと」

2. things to bother other people
「あの人はわざと他人を困らせるようなことを言う」
bother は「～を困らせる」「迷惑をかける」という意味で、上記のものと同じで to につながっています。

They intentionally say things to bother other people.
あの人はわざと他人を困らせるようなことを言う。
intentionally は「わざと」

ぎりぎりランチを買えた を英語で教えて!

1. barely managed to buy lunch
barely managed to は「ぎりぎり～できた」「なんとか～できた」という意味の表現です。

例
I barely managed to catch the train.
ぎりぎり電車に間に合った。
catch は「（電車に）のる」

I barely managed to buy lunch with the last of the money in my wallet.
財布の中の残金でぎりぎりランチを買えた。
the last of は「～の残り」

2. just able to afford lunch
afford は「～を買う余裕がある」という意味です。

With the little money left in my wallet, I was just able to afford lunch.
財布の中の残金でぎりぎりランチを買えた。
left は「残った」
今回は少ない残った金額を示すのに使いました。
