這次我們要介紹如何用英語表達「脫口罩」和「戴口罩」。另外還會解說各種口罩的說法，請收藏本文作為學習參考！

「脫口罩」的英語是什麼？

以下是用英語表達「脫口罩」的三種方式。

①take off one’s face mask
②remove one’s face mask
③don’t / doesn’t wear a face mask

take off one’s face mask

「take off one’sface mask」是指「脫（戴著的）口罩」。特點在於它表達的是「脫」口罩的動作，而不是脱口罩的狀態。

在「one’s」的部分是帶入像「my」或「your」等，即對應戴口罩者的所有格。

Please do not take off your face mask during the event.
活動期間請勿脱口罩。

Can I take off my face mask for a moment? I’m having trouble breathing.
我可以暫時脱掉口罩嗎？我覺得呼吸困難。

You can take off your face mask if you don’t speak.
如果你不說話，可以脱掉口罩。

It’s difficult for me to judge by myself if I can take off my face mask.
我很難判斷自己能否脱掉口罩。

Remember to take off your face mask gently to avoid touching your face.
請輕輕脱掉口罩，避免接觸臉部。

You can take off your face mask when you’re alone in your car or outside.

remove one’s face mask

「remove one’s mask」也是表達「脱（戴著的）口罩」的動作。

它跟「take off one’s mask」的意思幾乎相同，但「take off one’s mask」在一般對話裡較少使用。

Please remove your face mask before entering the restaurant.
進入餐廳前請脱口罩。

The doctor asked me to remove my face mask
醫生讓我脱掉口罩。

You can remove your face mask when you are inside your car.
你在車內時可以脱掉口罩。

The flight attendant asked us to remove our face masks for a security check.
空姐要求我脱掉口罩接受安檢。

Before eating, everyone needs to remove their masks at the dining table.
吃飯前，大家必須在餐桌上脱口罩。

「don’t / doesn’t wear a face mask」可以表示「不戴口罩」。

跟表達動作的「take off」不同，關鍵在於傳達不習慣戴口罩的意思。

我一個人住，所以我在家不戴口罩。

A lot of people don’t wear face masks properly.
很多人沒有正確佩戴口罩。

put on a face mask / put on one’s face mask

「put on a face mask」或「put on one’s face mask」是指戴上口罩的動作。

是形容手拿口罩、將鬆緊帶掛在耳朵上、摀住嘴的動作。

Please put on a face mask before entering the building.
進入大樓前請戴上口罩。

My son can put on a face mask by himself.
我兒子可以自己戴口罩了。

I put on my face mask in the middle of the live show because the venue was packed.
由於現場擠滿了人，我在表演途中戴上口罩。

I had to put on and take off my face mask over and over again at the party.
在聚會上，我不得不反覆脱戴口罩。

Don’t forget to put on a face mask before leaving the house.
請記得出門前戴上口罩。

wear a face mask

「wear a face mask」是指戴口罩的狀態、或定期戴口罩的習慣。

請記住「put on」是指動作，「wear」則是指狀態。

I still wear a mask wherever I go.
無論去哪裡，我都戴著口罩。

Please wear a face mask when you go outside to protect yourself and others.
外出時請戴上口罩，保護自己和他人。

It’s important to wear a face mask when you’re in a crowded place like a train or bus.
如果你在火車或公車等擁擠的地方，戴口罩很重要。

Many people wear masks to prevent allergies when the end-of-season。
很多人在換季時會戴口罩預防過敏。

In some workplaces, employees are required to wear a face mask.
一些工作場所會要求員工戴上口罩。

口罩的英語表達

常見的口罩類型是英文「face mask（只有mask的話是「面具」）」，但也有其他的說法喔！

face covering

「face covering」直譯為「覆蓋臉部的東西」，除了口罩，也包括圍巾和頭巾等織物。

雖然不一定是為了預防疾病或避免傳染，但也可以代替口罩遮住臉部。

I always wear a face covering when I go to the grocery store.
我去超市時總是戴遮臉巾遮住臉。

I use this face covering instead of a face mask.
我用遮臉斤代替口罩。

face shield

「face shield」是指覆蓋臉部的透明防護罩。由塑膠或聚碳酸酯等材料製成的罩子，可以防止飛沫傳染。

I had to wear a face shield during my workshop.
在工作室期間我必須戴上面罩。

I prefer wearing a face shield over a face mask.
跟口罩相比，我更喜歡面罩。

reusable mask

「reusable mask」是指可以重複使用的口罩。

換句話說，就是可以清洗並再次使用的口罩。

順帶一提，「reusable（可重複使用）」是「reuse（重複使用）」和「albe（能夠）」的組合單字。

This store has various designs of reusable masks.
這家商店有各種設計的可重複用口罩。

I had never used reusable masks before the influenza hit.
在流感爆發之前，我從未用過可重複使用的口罩。

disposable mask

「disposable mask」是指一次性口罩。這跟可以重複使用的「reusable mask」完全相反。

一般來說，中文的「不織布口罩」是屬於「disposable mask」的範疇。

I wear a disposable mask only when I’m on the plane.
我只在飛機上戴一次性口罩。

Disposable masks are sold out.
一次性口罩已售罄。

medical mask

「medical mask」是醫療用口罩。請想像醫生戴的那種口罩，可能比較好理解。

另外，「medical mask」也可稱為「surgical mask（手術用口罩）」。

Where can I get medical masks?
哪裡可以買到醫用口罩？

I have never seen anybody wearing a medical mask except for doctors.
除了醫生，我從來沒看過有人戴醫用口罩。
